about

This is a song I've been doing for years in the pubs. Lots of people have done it different ways and this is just my cover version.

I did it all at home on my old Dobro and Hofner bass and got my son Rowan to play high strung guitar on it which adds a lovely colour.
He helps me out a lot when I'm recording at home and makes me look like a right dunce!

I got Steve Wilson and Jess Upton to put backing vocals on and then I took it to Steve's and he put some Hammond organ on it.
Steve Wilson, Jess Upton and I work frequently together as a trio. They are old friends and I think our voices blend really wonderfully together.
Steve Wilson and her are singing with me on the next two tracks as well!

lyrics

Don't know much about history
Don't know much biology
Don't know much about the science book
Don't know much about the French I took
But I do know that I love you
And I know that if you loved me to
What a wonderful world this could be

Don't know much about geometry
Don't know much trigonometry
Don't know much about algebra
Don't know what a slide rule is for
But I do know one and one is two
And if this one could be with you
What a wonderful world this could be

Well i don't claim to be an 'A' student
But that's what I'm trying to be
'cause if I was, an 'A' student baby
I could win your love for me
